Responsibilities and Duties - Litigate in a variety of practice areas, including product liability, toxic tort, class-action and mass tort, and medical malpractice. - Manage overall case management, including drafting critical motions, developing written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and participating in court proceedings. - Possess excellent academic credentials and immaculate presentation skills. - Maintain strong relationships with the firm's existing client base. - Have an entrepreneurial spirit to pursue new opportunities in expanding practice areas. - Participate in regular training for professional growth. - Provide high-quality legal services to clients. - Work collaboratively with a team of attorneys. - Handle all aspects of trial preparation, including conducting research, drafting pleadings and motions, and preparing witnesses. - Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings. - Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case. - Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to assigned practice areas. - Adhere to all ethical standards and rules of professional conduct. Qualifications - Multiple years of litigation experience, preferably in product liability, toxic tort, class-action and mass tort, or medical malpractice. - Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school. - Admission to the Illinois State Bar. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Proficient in legal research and writing. - Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations. - Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of cases and meet deadlines.
