A law firm seeks a skilled and driven Business Litigation Counsel for its Denver office. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of litigation experience, specifically in the defense of commercial and residential property claims, insurance coverage, and insurance class actions. This position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive team while also handling cases independently, including court appearances, depositions, expert management, and mediation. Duties:

• Independently manage a caseload, including overseeing court appearances, depositions, and expert management.
• Handle mediation sessions and other case-related tasks.
• Collaborate closely with experienced partners, taking a leadership role when necessary.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates in tasks such as legal research and case preparation.
• Work on commercial and residential property claims, insurance coverage, and class actions.
• Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services.
• Effectively manage multiple cases simultaneously, demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and correspondence, with attention to detail and clarity.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in the areas of insurance defense, property claims, and insurance class actions.
• Admission to the Colorado Bar or eligibility for admission.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Proven ability to handle complex litigation matters independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple cases and deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice in Colorado (or eligible for admission).

Skills:

• Expertise in commercial and residential property claims and insurance defense.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage and mentor junior associates effectively.
• Proficient in drafting legal documents and performing legal research.
• Ability to handle client relationships with professionalism and care.
