Job Title: Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join its team in Myrtle Beach, SC. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, including hearings, mediations, and appeals.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations under workers' compensation laws.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and depositions.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes and developments in workers' compensation law.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Participate in firm-sponsored mentorship and leadership training programs.
• Engage in DEI community group activities and initiatives.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in workers' compensation law.
• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
• Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
• Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to clients.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (.) or higher from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must hold an active license to practice law in South Carolina.
