A law firm seeks an experienced Real Estate Closing Attorney to join its reputable team in the Mount Pleasant, SC area. The attorney will oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions, ensuring smooth processes from contract to closing. This role involves working closely with clients and other parties to deliver exceptional service while contributing to the firm’s growth and community presence.

Duties

  • Manage residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales and refinances.
  • Review title documents and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate seamless transactions.
  • Draft and review a variety of real estate-related documents, such as contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase agreements.
  • Provide clients with a professional, informative, and supportive experience, addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Oversee disbursement ledgers and approve checks related to transactions.
  • Build and nurture relationships to drive business development for the firm.
  • Conduct educational sessions or training for prospective clients on real estate law topics.

Requirements

  • Prior experience with residential real estate transactions is preferred (training available for the right candidate).
  • An active member of the South Carolina State Bar in good standing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to engage in community involvement and achieve results.
  • Growth-oriented, with a focus on residential real estate.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
