Job Overview: A law firm located in Edmond, OK is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse family law matters and represent clients in complex cases. The attorney will take the lead on various cases with the support of a collaborative team, focused on achieving the best outcomes for clients in family law disputes.

Duties:

• Represent clients in a range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, and adoption cases.
• Draft, review, and file various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, agreements, and correspondences.
• Oversee the discovery process, including conducting depositions, issuing interrogatories, and gathering evidence.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing legal guidance and updates on case developments.
• Prepare cases for hearings, trials, mediations, and settlement discussions.
• Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethics in all legal matters.
• Collaborate effectively with paralegals and other support staff to ensure the efficient management of each case.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the Oklahoma Bar.
• 1-5 years of experience in family law practice.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Oklahoma family law, including divorce, custody, child support, and adoption processes.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from a recognized and accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Licensed and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify complex legal matters for clients.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously.
• Proactive and independent work ethic, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining strict ethical standards.
