Oil & Gas Title Attorney (Contract) – Pittsburgh, PA Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl, LLC is seeking a mid-level Title Attorney on a contract basis. This position requires 3-5 years of experience in conducting title examinations, drafting title opinions, contract negotiation, and due diligence reviews, specifically in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. The ideal candidate will possess strong client communication, writing, research, computer, and organizational skills. Responsibilities: - Conduct title examinations and analyze deeds, leases, and contracts to determine ownership rights related to oil and gas properties - Draft title opinions identifying defects, liens, and other issues that may impact ownership rights/use of property - Perform due diligence reviews for clients involved in oil and gas transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures - Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and contracts related to leases, joint operating agreements, surface access agreements, and purchase and sale agreements - Collaborate with the Litigation team on curative title litigation, lease expiration claims, and regulatory compliance matters - Navigate oil and gas royalty disputes and pipeline right-of-way negotiations - Advise on risk mitigation issues involving oil and gas transactions Candidate Qualifications: - 3-5 years of experience conducting title examinations and drafting title opinions - Juris Doctorate degree - Must be licensed in Pennsylvania - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word - Strong legal research and technical writing skills, including proficiency with legal research tools - Ability to handle complex oil and gas matters from start to finish - Strong academic and employment credentials - Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills - Good interpersonal interaction skills - Well-organized - Proven track record of performance Job Details: - Contract position, approximately 30 hours per week - Open to in-office or remote candidates (initial onboarding in Pittsburgh office for remote candidates) About Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl, LLC: Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl is a national, full-service law firm dedicated to assisting individuals, businesses, and institutions.
