Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a skilled Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions Associate Attorney with a strong background in private equity transactions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, and private equity funds. They must be capable of providing efficient legal services independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a commitment to delivering the highest quality client service.

Duties:

• Handle various complex transactions related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
• Provide legal counsel and support to clients regarding private equity funds and financial institutions.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to ensure compliance and accuracy in all transactions.
• Draft and review various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate filings.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop strategies and solutions for transactional matters.
• Maintain communication and correspondence with clients to provide updates and address concerns throughout the transaction process.

Requirements:

• JD or LLM degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar or eligibility for admission.
• Minimum of 5+ years of private equity transactional experience.
• Strong academic credentials demonstrating excellence in critical reasoning skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing responsibilities effectively.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

Education and Certifications:
