A law firm in Oakland is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Labor and Employment Counsel with over 10 years of experience. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in both litigation and counseling clients on a wide spectrum of employment law issues. Demonstrated expertise in litigating discrimination, retaliation, and harassment claims before government agencies and state/federal courts is essential. Experience with California wage and hour class actions, as well as PAGA claims, is preferred. The successful candidate must hold a California Bar license and exhibit exceptional judgment, superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Duties:

• Handle litigation of various employment issues, including discrimination, retaliation, and harassment claims.
• Counsel clients on a full range of employment law matters.
• Litigate cases before government agencies, state, and federal courts.
• Navigate California wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in labor and employment law.
• California Bar license.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Commitment to community involvement.
• Superior interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
