The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Colorado Family Law statutes and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing compassionate legal representation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct consultations with potential clients to assess their legal needs and secure their representation.
  • Provide expert legal advice on various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, and property division.
  • Represent clients as the lead attorney (1st chair) in court proceedings, including mediation, depositions, and trials.
  • Develop and implement effective case strategies aligned with clients' goals and best interests.
  • Prepare and draft essential legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, agreements, and court orders.
  • Negotiate settlements and manage disputes in both contested and uncontested family law cases.
  • Mentor and train junior attorneys and support staff, fostering their professional development and growth.
  • Stay updated on Colorado Family Law statutes and regulations to ensure accurate and effective case handling.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and empathetic support.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Colorado State Bar.
  • 4+ years of experience in family law, with a focus on divorce, child custody, domestic violence, and related matters.
  • Expertise in Colorado Family Law statutes (required).

Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead and manage cases as the 1st chair, including handling court proceedings and negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
