Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an experienced Alcohol and Distribution Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in alcohol beverage law and related regulatory matters, along with a strong commercial corporate background and mergers and acquisitions experience. This role demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Duties:

• Advise clients on compliance with alcoholic beverage laws and regulations.
• Represent clients in regulatory matters before relevant agencies.
• Draft and review commercial contracts related to the alcohol and distribution industries.
• Conduct due diligence and provide legal advice for mergers and acquisitions.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies for clients.
• Manage and facilitate large or complex legal matters to ensure timely completion.
• Provide practical legal advice and analysis based on risk assessment.
• Stay updated on changes in alcoholic beverage laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in alcohol beverage law.
• Experience in related regulatory areas such as FDA/food is highly encouraged.
• Commercial corporate background with mergers and acquisitions experience.
• Proven ability to manage legal matters independently.
• Admitted to practice law in California.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
