Duties:

  • Advise clients on compliance with alcoholic beverage laws and regulations.
  • Represent clients in regulatory matters before relevant agencies.
  • Draft and review commercial contracts related to the alcohol and distribution industries.
  • Conduct due diligence and provide legal advice for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies for clients.
  • Manage and facilitate large or complex legal matters to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide practical legal advice and analysis based on risk assessment.
  • Stay updated on changes in alcoholic beverage laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in alcohol beverage law.
  • Experience in related regulatory areas such as FDA/food is highly encouraged.
  • Commercial corporate background with mergers and acquisitions experience.
  • Proven ability to manage legal matters independently.
  • Admitted to practice law in California.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
