A law firm in Tampa, FL, seeks a dedicated and skilled Insurance Defense Attorney with 2-7 years of experience. The successful candidate will represent and defend clients in insurance-related cases, including personal injury, property damage, and liability claims. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in insurance defense cases, focusing on personal injury, property damage, and liability claims.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and stay updated with relevant laws and regulations.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
• Provide legal advice and strategy to clients, informing them about case progress and options.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies when appropriate.
• Prepare for and manage trial cases, develop case strategy, prepare witnesses, and present evidence.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and case records.

Requirements:

• 2-7 years of experience in insurance defense or a related legal field.
• Strong understanding of insurance law and defense litigation processes.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Effective negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Florida, in good standing.
• Additional certifications in insurance law or related fields are a plus.
