A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Senior Insurance and Reinsurance Career Associate Attorney with over 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and complex litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, superior research and writing abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze insurance policies and provide detailed coverage opinions.
• Draft coverage position letters, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Conduct extensive legal research and analysis on insurance coverage matters.
• Manage and oversee complex insurance litigation cases from inception through resolution.
• Advise clients on risk management strategies and insurance regulatory compliance.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations related to insurance disputes.
• Mentor junior associates and provide guidance on legal strategies and case management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
• 5+ years of experience focused on insurance coverage and complex litigation.
• In-depth knowledge of coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies.
• Strong academic record with superior research and writing skills.
• Proven ability to handle high-stakes litigation independently.
• Track record of achieving favorable outcomes in insurance-related matters.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
