A leading intellectual property law firm is seeking a Patent Attorney with a background in Computer Science (CS), Electrical Engineering (EE), or Computer Engineering (CE). The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in technology and protecting innovations. This role is open to both recent graduates with technical backgrounds and experienced attorneys eligible to practice before the . Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The position offers the flexibility to work remotely, with a focus on maintaining a healthy work-life balance while providing exceptional client service.

Duties:

  • Assist clients with patent preparation and prosecution in fields related to computer science, electrical engineering, and related technologies.
  • Draft and file patent applications, as well as respond to office actions from the . Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Conduct prior art searches and analyze the patentability of new inventions.
  • Collaborate with inventors and clients to understand and protect their technological innovations.
  • Provide legal counsel on intellectual property strategies and patent portfolio management.
  • Stay current with developments in patent law and relevant technologies.

Requirements:

  • Strong interest in intellectual property law and protecting technological innovations.
  • Experience or educational background in computer science, electrical engineering, or computer engineering.
  • Proficiency in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Certifications:

  • Registered or eligible to register before the . Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Skills:
