A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to manage litigation cases independently, handle diverse accounts across California, and support trial preparation and court filings.

Job Duties:

  • Handle local and national accounts throughout California, focusing on general liability matters.
  • Independently manage a varied litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct depositions of clients, witnesses, and experts.
  • Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial testimony.
  • Review, analyze, and respond to discovery requests and pleadings.
  • Prepare court filings and ensure timely service to opposing counsel, including proficiency with e-filing systems.
  • Assist with trial preparation and provide support during trials as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed time records for billing purposes.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of California.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in product liability, transportation, aviation, or premises liability.
  • Proven experience with motion practice and conducting depositions.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a lead role in plaintiff and expert depositions.
  • Exceptional research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and case management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, MS Office Suite, and case management software.
