Job Overview: A law firm in White Plains, NY, is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney who will focus on comprehensive legal analysis and client representation. The ideal candidate will have experience in general liability, with motor vehicle experience considered a plus. This role demands a strong work ethic, superior analytical skills, and the ability to manage caseloads effectively.

Duties:

• Conduct file reviews and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Meet an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.
• Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and during depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Prepare for and attend trials.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in General Liability; experience with motor vehicle cases is a plus.
• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admission to practice in New York and other states is a plus.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid research abilities and proficiency in written and oral communication.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to self-manage and work effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent client interaction skills and professional telephone manners.

Education:

• Admitted to practice in New York (other states a plus).
