Job Overview: A law firm specializing in real estate law seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their Austin, TX office. The ideal candidate will provide legal counsel and support in real estate transactions, development projects, and litigation matters.

Job Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate design, construction, and development agreements across diverse industry sectors.
  • Provide transactional and litigation support for EPC contracts on extensive infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Advise clients on claims management, change orders, extra work, delay, and construction defect claims.
  • Collaborate with construction teams on litigation and arbitration proceedings, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and deposition preparation.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, colleagues, and third parties, ensuring clarity and responsiveness.
  • Produce high-quality work products within specified deadlines.
  • Adhere to firm policies and practices, fostering positive work relationships and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities as required by the role, including computer work, virtual meetings, and conference calls.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction contracting and related development matters.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard agreements such as AIA forms.
  • Experience with litigation or arbitration related to construction disputes preferred.
