A law firm in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Corporate Health Plan Associate Attorney to provide comprehensive legal counsel to healthcare clients, focusing on strategic transactions, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day corporate matters.

 

Duties:

  • Advise healthcare clients on mergers and acquisitions, asset and equity transactions, venture capital and private equity investments, and joint ventures.
  • Assist clients with corporate formations, capital raises, operational strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide analysis on healthcare regulatory issues.
  • Communicate directly with clients, manage client relationships, and ensure client objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and participate in strategic discussions and decision-making processes.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience practicing law with a focus on health plan operations, regulation, managed care, and healthcare transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to health plans, provider contracting, Medicare risk adjustment, STARS ratings, Medicaid regulations, and behavioral health parity.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work efficiently under pressure.

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills for legal documents and contracts.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
