Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join their team in Lubbock, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation, with a strong foundation in client communication, legal research, drafting motions, and trial experience.
Duties:
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case
- Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Lead mediations and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Develop effective case strategies in consultation with senior attorneys
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation
- Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar
- Proven experience drafting and responding to motions
- Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education and Certifications:
- Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Texas State Bar
