Duties:
- Draft and prosecute patent applications in alignment with intellectual property regulations.
- Collaborate with inventors and stakeholders to gather necessary information for patent submissions.
- Conduct thorough patent searches and assessments to evaluate potential patentability.
- Provide legal advice regarding intellectual property matters, including infringement and licensing issues.
- Assist in responding to Office Actions and manage communications with the USPTO.
- Leverage engineering expertise in computer science or electrical engineering to inform prosecution strategies.
- Engage in design engineering tasks as needed, particularly with chip technology.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in IP law and industry trends.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-6 years of legal experience in patent prosecution or related fields.
- Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Proven experience in drafting patent applications and understanding prosecution processes.
- Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field is essential.
- Experience with networking technologies and software development is preferred.
