A law firm in Southfield, MI is seeking a highly qualified Insurance and Reinsurance Career Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of insurance coverage issues related to professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. This role requires exceptional academic credentials, superior research and writing skills, and a proven ability to manage complex insurance and reinsurance matters.

Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel on insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
• Analyze and interpret insurance policies, coverage disputes, and regulatory requirements to develop strategic legal solutions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate insurance-related documents, including policies, contracts, and regulatory filings.
• Represent clients in insurance coverage disputes and commercial litigation, including arbitration and court proceedings.
• Prepare and file legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and other litigation materials.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on insurance and reinsurance matters.
• Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate with clients, insurance professionals, and internal teams to address and resolve insurance claims and coverage issues.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and legal developments affecting insurance law.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Michigan State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
• 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• Strong understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Michigan State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
