A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Real Estate Counsel with a keen interest in representing prominent renewable energy clients across a broad spectrum of real property development matters. Job Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and support on real estate transactions related to renewable energy development projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, easements, and development agreements.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence reviews, including title examinations and environmental assessments.
  • Advise on zoning regulations, land use issues, and permitting requirements impacting real estate projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex real estate issues efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the District of Columbia Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience practicing real estate law, with a focus on title matters for renewable energy development.
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance principles and project financing structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and transactions concurrently.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in Real Estate Law or Energy Law from a recognized legal association or institution.
