This attorney will offer expert legal counsel on a diverse range of renewable energy projects, with a primary focus on facilities operations and power purchase agreements. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with various renewable energy technologies, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cells, as well as familiarity with smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency. The role requires strong client service skills, effective interpersonal collaboration, and exceptional communication. Candidates must hold a JD degree, be an active member in good standing of the Bar, and possess a portable book of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal guidance and support on renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage power purchase agreements, facility operation agreements, and related contracts.
- Offer strategic advice on facilities operations, regulatory compliance, and industry standards.
- Advise clients on smart grid technology, energy storage solutions, and energy efficiency practices.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on emerging trends and technologies in the renewable energy sector.
- Collaborate with clients, industry stakeholders, and internal teams to address legal issues and support project success.
- Manage and resolve legal disputes and challenges related to renewable energy projects.
- Develop and maintain a portable book of business, showcasing a robust client base in the renewable energy industry.
Requirements:
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing of the Bar.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy law.
