A law firm in Charleston, SC, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Closing Attorney to manage residential and commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will be a member in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar, with significant experience in closing real estate transactions. This role involves overseeing transactions, reviewing titles, working with various stakeholders, and ensuring a professional client experience.

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales, purchases, and refinances.
  • Review and analyze title documents to ensure accuracy and resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate smooth real estate transactions.
  • Draft and/or review loan documents, including contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Provide a professional and engaging experience to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Review disbursement ledgers and sign checks for transactions.
  • Develop and cultivate business relationships to enhance and grow the firm's real estate practice.
  • Conduct training sessions for potential clients on relevant aspects of real estate law.
  • Preferred experience in residential real estate transactions.

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar.
  • Preferably has experience in closing real estate transactions, with a focus on residential real estate.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law and related documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues, and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • South Carolina State Bar membership (in good standing).

Skills:

  • Expertise in overseeing residential and commercial real estate transactions.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing title documents and legal agreements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing exceptional client service.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and business partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines efficiently.
