Job Description Responsibilities: • Representing clients in securities class actions, derivative suits, merger litigation, and other civil actions arising from securities-related disputes. • Conducting internal investigations related to allegations of accounting fraud, whistleblower claims, or alleged violations of anti-bribery laws. • Defending companies and individuals in DOJ and SEC investigations and regulatory proceedings. • Learning to litigate on behalf of cutting-edge technology and life sciences companies. • Handling complex investigatory and regulatory matters. • Collaborating with partners and other associates on cases. • Drafting pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents. • Conducting legal research and analysis. • Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and the court. • Attending hearings, depositions, and trials as needed. Qualifications: • At least four (4+) years of relevant experience in securities litigation. • Barred in the state of the office they are submitting their application for or eligible to sit/waive into the next bar exam. • Superior academic credentials. • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Experience with internal investigations and/or regulatory matters is a plus. • Experience with technology and life sciences companies is a plus.
