A law firm based in Chicago is seeking an Investment Funds Attorney with experience representing fund sponsors in the formation, structuring, and operation of investment funds. The ideal candidate will have outstanding credentials and 3-6 years of corporate experience at a leading national or international law firm.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support to fund sponsors in the formation, structuring, and operation of investment funds.
  • Draft and review fund formation documents, including partnership agreements, offering memoranda, and subscription documents.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance matters related to investment funds.
  • Assist with due diligence and negotiations in fund formation transactions.
  • Provide ongoing legal support to investment fund clients on operational and compliance issues.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations impacting investment funds.

 

Requirements:

  • JD from a top-tier law school.
  • 3-6 years of corporate experience at a leading national or international law firm.
  • Experience representing fund sponsors in the formation, structuring, and operation of investment funds.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Education:

JD from a top-tier law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar.
