A law firm in Hackensack, NJ, seeks a highly skilled and motivated Tort and Insurance Defense Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in tort and insurance defense litigation and be ready to take on immediate client responsibilities. This role demands excellent communication skills, solid professional judgment, and working independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in tort and insurance defense matters, including handling cases from inception through trial.
• Provide legal advice and develop defense strategies for clients in complex litigation.
• Prepare, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
• Manage caseload efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, informing them about case developments and addressing their concerns.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and experts to build strong defense cases.
• Attend court appearances, depositions, and other legal proceedings.

Requirements:

• JD degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Admission to the New Jersey and New York Bars.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in tort and insurance defense litigation.
• Proven ability to assume immediate client contact and responsibilities.
