This position involves handling complex legal matters related to privacy laws, data security provisions, and transactional agreements. The ideal candidate must be capable of drafting and negotiating agreements, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and simplifying intricate legal issues for clients.

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate privacy and data security provisions in agreements
• Handle legal matters related to compliance with GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and other privacy laws
• Manage multiple legal projects simultaneously
• Provide clear, concise advice on complex legal topics related to data security and privacy compliance
• Collaborate effectively with various departments and clients to ensure alignment on legal and regulatory issues

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of transactional experience, particularly related to privacy laws
• Ability to negotiate, draft, and interpret privacy and data security-related agreements
• Experience with data protection and compliance laws such as GDPR, CCPA, CPRA

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Good academic standing with strong analytical and communication skills

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in good standing in California.

Skills:

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, especially in the context of privacy and data security agreements
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
• High attention to detail and the ability to explain legal concepts clearly
