A law firm in Alpharetta, GA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team with a focus on workers’ compensation litigation. The role involves working closely with a dedicated partner, conducting depositions, mediations, and building client relationships with insurance companies/adjusters.

Duties:

• Conduct depositions and mediations under the guidance of a partner
• Handle workers’ compensation litigation cases from inception to resolution
• Build and maintain client relationships with insurance companies and adjusters
• Provide excellent customer service and client representation
• Research legal issues and prepare legal documents such as pleadings and motions
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
• Attend hearings, trials, and other court proceedings as required
• Manage case files and ensure all deadlines are met

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia
• Experience in litigating cases, preferably with a focus on workers’ compensation defense
• Prior experience as a Public Defender, Assistant District Attorney, or Solicitor is preferred
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia

Skills:

• Proficiency in conducting depositions and mediations
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and procedures
• Ability to analyze legal issues and develop case strategies
• Strong advocacy skills with the ability to negotiate and settle cases
• Familiarity with case management software is a plus
