Duties

  • Represent clients at pretrial hearings and offer strategic advice based on the outcomes of each session.
  • Handle court appearances, prepare motions, interview witnesses, and perform comprehensive legal research.
  • Utilize knowledge of legal precedents to assess the likely outcome of cases.
  • Organize and manage a caseload of criminal defense matters.
  • Analyze and advise on the potential advantages of clients’ cases.
  • Gather supporting evidence for the defense or challenge the prosecution's charges.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and formulate case strategies.
  • Work with witnesses and expert professionals to build a strong defense.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Criminal Defense.
  • Proven track record of managing complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset to work closely with associates.
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Texas.

Certifications

  • Must be admitted to the Texas Bar.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
