A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a skilled Insurance Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage various aspects of insurance litigation cases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Propose and develop litigation strategies tailored to each case.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel to facilitate case progress.
  • Draft comprehensive reports, pleadings, discovery documents, and motions.
  • Take and defend depositions, ensuring thorough preparation and effective questioning.
  • Argue motions confidently and persuasively in court.
  • Participate in mediations and trials, contributing to favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Conduct legal research to support case development and provide accurate legal advice.
  • Maintain detailed case files and documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and organized.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to ensure cohesive case management.
  • Stay updated on changes in insurance law and regulations to provide informed legal representation.

Requirements:

  • Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing in California.
  • Additional admissions in other states are a plus.
  • 3-6 years of experience in litigation, with a strong emphasis on insurance litigation.
  • 3+ years of California practice experience.
  • Proven ability to propose effective litigation strategies.
  • Experience in drafting and filing legal documents, including reports, pleadings, discovery, and motions.
  • Skilled in taking and defending depositions, as well as arguing motions in court.
  • Familiarity with mediations and trial proceedings.
