Job Overview: A law firm in Edison, NJ, is seeking a Senior Financial Services Associate Attorney or Counsel to join their Consumer Financial Services team. Duties:

  • Represent financial institutions in state and federal court matters, including single-plaintiff litigation and appeals.
  • Handle contested foreclosure cases and related financial services issues.
  • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on complex financial services litigation.
  • Prepare and present oral arguments in court.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate effectively with clients regarding case progress and strategy.
  • Supervise junior attorneys and support staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on financial services, contested foreclosure, or commercial litigation.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • High level of responsibility in defending financial institutions in litigation and appeals.
  • Bar admission in both New Jersey and New York.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the states of New Jersey and New York.
