Job Title: Real Estate Associate/Senior Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in New York City is seeking a skilled Real Estate Associate or Senior Associate with a background in commercial real estate law. The ideal candidate will bring 3-8 years of experience handling complex transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financing, and leasing of commercial properties. The firm is looking for a highly motivated professional to join its growing real estate practice.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on various commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review contracts related to the purchase and sale of commercial properties.
  • Handle complex real estate financing transactions, including debt and equity deals.
  • Manage leasing agreements, including representing landlords and tenants in commercial leases.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to structure deals and resolve any legal issues.
  • Assist in due diligence, including title and survey review, and prepare legal opinions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external parties to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
  • Provide practical legal advice to clients, navigating real estate market trends and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of experience in commercial real estate law (2016-2021 graduate classes).
  • Solid understanding of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
  • Experience with joint ventures and financing in real estate transactions.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to handle complex matters independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.

Education:

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in New York.
