A law firm in Newport Beach, CA, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will focus on defending personal injury matters, ensuring the highest level of legal representation for clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and handle defense litigation for personal injury cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all ethical standards and legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California Bar and in good standing.
  • Prior experience in personal injury defense litigation preferred.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
