Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced Estate & Elder Law Associate Attorney to join its team in Blue Bell, PA. This hybrid position requires on-site presence at least three days a week and offers the opportunity to work on comprehensive estate planning, probate, elder law, and guardianship matters. The ideal candidate will have a passion for estate and trust planning, administration, and providing exceptional legal services to seniors, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries.

Duties:

  • Prepare comprehensive estate plans, utilizing techniques to protect assets, reduce taxes, and meet client goals.
  • Manage estate and trust administration from start to finish, ensuring smooth client service.
  • Analyze trust and estate planning documents, advising clients on trustee duties, beneficiary rights, and tax implications.
  • Draft and manage Special Needs Trusts and handle Medicaid long-term care applications.
  • Oversee the probate and trust administration process, ensuring compliance with client goals and legal requirements.
  • Represent clients in court, including Orphans' Court hearings and guardianship cases.
  • Collaborate with financial professionals, insurance agents, and other stakeholders to provide holistic estate planning services.
  • Conduct client consultations, convert leads into clients, and build lasting client relationships.
  • Assist with presentations, webinars, and seminars to expand the firm's visibility and educate the public.
  • Engage in community involvement to strengthen professional networks and referral sources.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania; New Jersey licensure a plus.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience practicing law, with at least 1 year of estate planning or elder law experience.
  • Experience in probate, guardianship, and estate litigation is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for working in sensitive environments requiring a high degree of confidentiality.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (required).
  • Licensed in New Jersey (preferred but not required).

Skills:

  • Expertise in estate planning, probate, trust administration, and elder law.
  • Strong client relationship management and consultation skills.
  • Ability to manage and oversee complex cases from start to finish.
  • Collaborative mindset, able to work with other professionals such as financial advisors.
  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and document drafting.
