Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level attorney to join its nationally recognized healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital within the healthcare sector. The attorney will work closely with partners and clients, advising on strategic transactions and corporate matters. This is an opportunity to further develop a practice within a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry while being mentored by senior attorneys.

Location:

  • Costa Mesa, CA

Duties:

  • Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, asset and equity acquisition transactions, venture capital, private equity investments, and joint ventures within the healthcare sector
  • Assist clients with corporate workflows, including company formations, capital raises, operational strategy, and contract negotiations
  • Provide critical legal guidance to clients to help achieve their business goals
  • Work with a team of attorneys and senior partners on healthcare-specific transactions and legal matters
  • Learn and apply the laws and regulations governing healthcare corporate transactions
  • Develop strong client relationships and gain direct client-facing experience
  • Participate in regular training and career development sessions, with opportunities for mentorship

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions and/or private equity transactions within the healthcare sector
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and third-party advisors
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proven ability to take ownership of projects and manage deadlines effectively
  • Admission to the bar in the state in which the position is based

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar

Skills:

  • Expertise in healthcare mergers & acquisitions and private equity transactions
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in corporate law, including company formation, capital raising, and contract negotiation
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
