A law firm in Los Angeles is actively seeking a Mid-Level IP Technology Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with a background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in PTAB/IPR, patent litigation in district court, and/or ITC proceedings. Familiarity with source code is preferred. Excellent academic credentials and references are essential. The candidate must be currently licensed to practice law or currently eligible to become licensed.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to IP technology patent litigation matters.
  • Represent clients in PTAB/IPR, patent litigation in district court, and/or ITC proceedings.
  • Analyze source code to support litigation efforts, demonstrating a degree of familiarity with coding.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and implement effective case strategies.
  • Manage all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, and court appearances.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in PTAB/IPR, patent litigation in district court, and/or ITC proceedings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Currently licensed to practice law or currently eligible to become licensed.
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong professional references.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Current license to practice law.

 

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in PTAB/IPR, patent litigation in district court, and/or ITC proceedings.
