Duties:

• Review insurance policies and draft coverage opinions for both personal and commercial liability matters.
• Prepare and respond to tenders in insurance disputes.
• Manage a comprehensive caseload with a high level of autonomy.
• Collaborate with clients, offering legal guidance and solutions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery items for declaratory judgment actions.
• Handle all aspects of litigation and trial preparation.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in insurance coverage matters and disputes.
• Proven experience in drafting coverage opinions and litigation related to insurance claims.
• Strong background in handling cases involving NYS Labor Law and construction litigation.
• Admission to practice law in New York State, with good standing.
• Admission to practice in New York State federal courts and familiarity with federal court procedures.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to practice in New York State.

Certifications:

• Admission to New York State Bar.
• Admission to New York State federal courts.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing capabilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, particularly in client relations.
