A prestigious law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its team in Baltimore. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense and Employers' Liability. Duties:

  • Manage a high volume of Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft clear and concise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients regarding workers' compensation claims, employer liability issues, and regulatory compliance.
  • Meet deadlines and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case handling.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense law.
  • Strong understanding of Maryland Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.
  • Experience in employer liability claims is a plus.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in Maryland.
  • Admission to practice in additional jurisdictions (such as DC, PA, or DE) is a plus.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage caseload, and meet deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to practice law in Maryland.
  • Additional certifications in Workers' Compensation law are a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in legal writing and case documentation.
  • Ability to handle high volumes of cases in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management software.
