Job Overview:

A well-established law firm located in Dallas, TX, is seeking an Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on immigration matters and present strategic solutions to clients.
  • Represent both detained and non-detained clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Oversee and manage a caseload of immigration cases from intake through conclusion.
  • Conduct client visits at detention centers and complete comprehensive intakes.
  • Prepare and submit various immigration applications, including those for removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
  • Review and revise immigration packets to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations regarding changes in immigration law.
  • Conduct consultations with prospective clients and develop appropriate legal strategies.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimony, ensuring they are thoroughly briefed and confident.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for a wide range of immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience practicing Immigration Law.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple legal cases efficiently.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills of the highest caliber.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Proficiency with case management software is preferred but not mandatory.

Education:

  • Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be admitted to practice law.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Capable of handling a high-volume caseload with attention to detail.
