Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced and proactive Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Attorney to manage a broad range of IP litigation cases. This role is responsible for guiding each case through its complete lifecycle, providing strategic legal insights, and supporting the firm's business development initiatives. Ideal candidates will have a technical background in fields such as engineering or computer science and possess at least two years of experience in intellectual property litigation.

Location: St. Louis

Duties:

  • Manage all stages of IP litigation cases, from initiation through resolution, including discovery, pre-trial motions, and trial.
  • Provide top-tier client service, upholding the highest standards of legal quality and ethical practice.
  • Oversee case management processes and maintain strong organizational practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate teams of litigation professionals, delegating tasks to junior associates and support staff as needed.
  • Participate in and support business development activities, contributing to group and individual efforts to expand client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a recognized and accredited law school.
  • Active law license in good standing with eligibility to practice in one or more . jurisdictions.
  • Minimum of two years of direct experience in intellectual property litigation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Current law license in good standing in one or more relevant jurisdictions.
  • Commitment to fulfilling ongoing Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and license renewal requirements.

Skills:

  • Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective leadership abilities, with a focus on mentoring junior staff and fostering collaboration.
