Duties:
- Represent clients in litigation cases efficiently and with professional integrity.
- Handle all phases of litigation, including investigations, pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
- Draft and edit pleadings, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Engage in active settlement negotiations and participate in mediation.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on cases and provide legal advice to clients.
- Prepare and deliver oral arguments in court hearings and trials.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and the firm’s support staff to ensure comprehensive client representation.
- Maintain timely and accurate billing and timekeeping records.
- Stay current on legal developments affecting the firm’s practice areas and clients.
Requirements:
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state of California.
- 1-2 years of experience in litigation, preferably in litigation.
- Proven track record of managing a litigation caseload effectively.
- Strong ability to analyze legal issues, develop legal strategies, and negotiate resolutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
Education:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
Certifications:
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
