A law firm in Dallas is seeking a dedicated and experienced Intake Attorney to join their team. Reporting to the Supervising Intake Attorney, the Intake Attorney will manage a caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with the firm's Immigration Team of Attorneys and legal assistants. The role involves monitoring case management software, reviewing intake documents, identifying potential immigration relief, and suggesting legal strategies. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have a proven track record in immigration law.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Supervising Intake Attorney and manage an individual caseload.
  • Monitor the firm's case management software for live cases to vet and track progress.
  • Review intake sheets and documents from potential clients to assess their needs.
  • Identify potential immigration relief options and propose legal strategies for potential clients.
  • Suggest appropriate legal services and strategies based on client needs.
  • Communicate with existing clients about potential services outside their current contract.
  • Answer legal questions and explain legal processes to potential and existing clients.
  • Provide feedback to the sales team regarding client meetings and potential services.
  • Oversee intake paralegals and virtual assistants to ensure efficient case processing.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-5 years of experience in Immigration Law.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Proven record of advancing legal cases and managing a caseload effectively.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Experience with case management software is preferred.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
