A law firm in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Personal Injury Litigation Attorney with experience in plaintiff-side personal injury cases. The candidate will handle all aspects of litigation including case preparation, depositions, motions, mediations, and trial representation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work up cases for trial by conducting thorough case investigation and legal research.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties.
• File petitions, complaints, and motions with courts as necessary.
• Prepare responses to discovery requests and participate in discovery processes.
• Attend mediations and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Assist in trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings.
• Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed of case developments.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation throughout each case.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas in good standing.
• 2-3 years or more of experience practicing plaintiff personal injury law.
• Proven track record of handling personal injury litigation from inception through trial.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to achieve favorable settlements for clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in medical malpractice or complex personal injury cases.
• Familiarity with case management software and legal research databases.
