Job Overview: A top-tier law firm is seeking a mid-level Healthcare Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Business Trial Practice Group and Healthcare Team in New York. This role involves handling a wide variety of healthcare and life sciences litigation, including complex business disputes, False Claims Act defense, and internal investigations related to fraud and whistleblower complaints. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial litigation experience and be eager to take on significant responsibilities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Manage healthcare and life sciences litigation matters, including business disputes and False Claims Act defense.
  • Assist in conducting internal investigations related to fraud, whistleblower complaints, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare legal documents such as motions, briefs, and discovery responses.
  • Provide counsel on healthcare-related disputes and investigations.
  • Collaborate with team members on case strategies and ensure timely delivery of legal services.
  • Represent clients in state and federal courts as well as regulatory hearings.
  • Work closely with clients in the healthcare and life sciences industries to develop legal strategies.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of commercial litigation experience.
  • Experience with healthcare, life sciences, and/or False Claims Act litigation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (required).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active New York State Bar license (required).

Skills:

  • Expertise in healthcare or life sciences litigation.
  • Strong litigation, research, and writing abilities.
  • Ability to handle complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.
