Key Points: - Founded in 1856, Harris Beach is a top-ranked law firm with a national and international reach - Clients include Fortune 100 corporations, privately-held companies, and public sector entities - The firm represents a diverse range of industries, including education, energy, and healthcare - This role will involve working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple offices - Training will be provided and a hybrid work schedule is available Responsibilities: - Draft demand letters and various legal documents - Conduct research on insolvency and bankruptcy matters - Represent and advise creditor clients on collateral preservation and recovery - Court appearances in state and bankruptcy courts - The firm expects a minimum of 1800 billable hours annually Qualifications: - 1-5+ years of litigation experience, preferably with creditor's rights - Bankruptcy court experience is a plus - Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school - Must be admitted to practice in New York - Familiarity with video conferencing platforms - Strong research, writing, and communication skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment - Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities - Military experience is welcome Harris Beach is committed to providing an inclusive and respectful work environment and welcomes applications from diverse candidates, including those with military experience.
