Job Overview: A law firm in Irvine, CA, seeks a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with 4+ years of broad-based litigation experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional research, analytical, and drafting skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong verbal and interpersonal communication abilities and a proven track record in arguing motions, conducting and defending depositions, and preparing cases for trial are essential. Specific expertise in commercial litigation, including matters such as breach of contract, tortious interference with contract, and breach of fiduciary duty, is highly desirable. This role requires a solid academic background and admission to the California Bar.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
• Prepare for and participate in all aspects of the litigation process, including motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Manage case files and maintain clear, organized documentation.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client communications.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar with good standing.
• 4+ years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Proven experience handling commercial litigation cases, focusing on breach of contract, tortious interference with contract, and breach of fiduciary duty.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy skills and courtroom experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in large law firm settings.
• Familiarity with electronic discovery and litigation support tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California Bar.
