Staff Attorney – Portland Regional Office:
- Full-time position in the Portland Regional Office of Legal Aid Services of Oregon (LASO)
- Grant funded position currently funded through May 31, 2026 with possibility for renewal
- Eligible for a partial remote work option
- Responsible for maintaining a varied poverty law caseload with a focus on housing and employment law matters
- Will handle all aspects of legal representation including client contact, pleading preparation, research, file maintenance, and hearing and trial work
- Competitive candidates will have at least 2 years of civil or criminal litigation experience and are current members of the Oregon State Bar or able to gain admission through reciprocity
- Proven interest and commitment to advocacy for the legal rights of low-income and other vulnerable populations
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, or another language spoken by the client population, highly preferred but not required

- Compensation based on a 35-hour work week
- Salary range: $66,200 – $105,200 annually, based on relevant work experience and Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Additional $4,300 – $5,700 annually for bilingual ability, depending on proficiency

Staff Attorney, Eviction Defense Project (EDP) – Bend and Pendleton:
- Two full-time positions to provide residential eviction defense services to low-income tenants in Bend and Pendleton
- Grant funded positions currently funded through the end of 2025
- In-person work required, with partial remote work option within Oregon
- Responsible for handling a housing caseload, appearing in eviction court, and collaborating with community-based partners for tenant education
- Current Oregon State Bar membership required

- Hiring preference for bilingual candidates
- Salary range: $66,200 – $105,200 annually, based on relevant work experience and Collective Bargaining Agreement
