Job Overview
A reputable law firm in Mount Laurel, NJ, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Intake Attorney to work remotely on a full-time basis. This role involves client communication, preparation of intake documentation, and handling various civil litigation tasks. The attorney will work closely with clients via virtual platforms like Zoom, focusing on civil litigation issues specific to New Jersey. This position offers flexibility in hours, with an estimated workload of 50 hours per week, which may vary depending on demand.

Duties

• Conduct client meetings via Zoom to gather case information
• Prepare intake paperwork and submit it to the law firm
• Handle civil litigation tasks such as motion work, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and guidance
• Collaborate with colleagues to support case preparation and client management
• Research legal issues and draft relevant legal documents

Requirements

• 2-3 years of hands-on civil litigation experience in New Jersey
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills for effective client interactions
• Experience with civil litigation areas such as employment law, civil rights, personal injury, commercial, or consumer litigation
• Ability to conduct thorough legal research and provide well-drafted legal documents
• Must be barred in the state of New Jersey

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in New Jersey
