A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Coverage Litigation Partner to join its Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a senior attorney to represent and advise a diverse portfolio of insurance clients. The successful candidate will handle complex insurance coverage disputes across various policy types, including general liability, automobile, professional liability, and more. The firm provides a collaborative environment where the partner will take on significant responsibility for managing cases and building client relationships.

Duties:

• Represent insurance carriers in high-stakes coverage disputes, including complex litigation and bad faith cases.
• Provide legal guidance to insurers on difficult coverage issues related to various types of policies, including commercial general liability, automobile, and professional liability.
• Advise clients on developing effective policy language in response to evolving legal standards and industry trends.
• Handle coverage matters involving a variety of specialties, such as construction defects, environmental claims, errors & omissions, and directors & officers liabilities.
• Oversee litigation from inception through resolution, including drafting motions, conducting discovery, and leading trial preparation.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs, providing strategic advice and solutions to resolve disputes efficiently.
• Mentor and manage junior associates, fostering their professional growth and skill development.
• Assist in business development and client outreach, expanding the firm’s insurance practice.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in insurance coverage litigation, including handling complex and high-value cases.
• Proven expertise in advising clients on coverage issues for a variety of policy types, such as general liability, professional liability, and automobile insurance.
• Strong litigation skills, with the ability to lead cases through trial and appeals.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance law and the ability to navigate nuanced coverage disputes.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a team and lead others.
• Strong business development skills, including the ability to foster client relationships and attract new business.
• Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Bar membership is required.

• Expertise in insurance coverage law, including handling disputes over policy interpretation, exclusions, and endorsements.
• Strong litigation and trial experience, particularly in high-stakes cases.
