Duties

  • Manage personal injury cases from intake to settlement or trial resolution.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analyze case details to formulate effective strategies.
  • Draft and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and demand letters.
  • Collect and review evidence, including medical records, witness statements, and other relevant documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals to optimize case outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and updates for all assigned cases in the firm's case management system.
  • Represent clients in mediations, depositions, hearings, and trials, advocating for their best interests.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, expert witnesses, insurance adjusters, and medical professionals to gather essential case information.
  • Negotiate settlements to achieve favorable outcomes for clients when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience handling personal injury cases, including litigation and trial work.
  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado and good standing with the Colorado State Bar.
  • Strong passion for advocating for injured individuals and securing optimal outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven negotiation expertise.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in case management software and other legal tools.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership with the Colorado State Bar Association.

Skills

  • Expertise in personal injury law, including torts, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and the nuances of personal injury litigation.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
